The story

One curious cat, and our whole solar system.

When the house is quiet and the windows fill with stars, a fluffy black cat named Jasmine floats up into the sky and climbs aboard her little round bubble‑pod spaceship. What is all that, glowing so far away? What is each one really like? Off she flies to visit the Sun and count every planet in order, from Mercury, planet number one, all the way out to windy Neptune, planet number eight, soaking up one true fun fact at each stop and cheering a happy “Meow-WOW!” at the giants. Along the way she waves to a comet, a shy asteroid, and a shower of shooting stars (really tiny bits of space dust, burning bright as they fall), then floats through a nebula where new stars are born, along the Milky Way, and past the northern lights, before drifting softly home to bed. Real wonder, real knowledge, and a warm little light the whole way home.

“Every Tiny Explorer is dreamed up with love. This one is named for a real Jasmine, the most curious and gentle of cats, who shows us that a wondering heart can reach all the way to the stars.”

Goodnight, stars

Of all the worlds she visits, Earth, planet number three, is the one she loves best. Only one had gardens. Only one had windowsills. Only one held everyone she loved. “I will take extra good care of you,” she whispered.

And home again on her windowsill, she counts them all to sleep, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, and whispers, “Goodnight, stars.” Purrrr.

Jasmine has her own shelf of Little Wilds adventures, alongside How Brave Is Coral? and Pete the Parrot. Each is told in English and Spanish, with two gentle reading levels for ages 2 to 12.
